Ingredients (dough):

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 1/2 butter bars
  • 1/2 cup of cold water
  • 1 pinch of salt

Preparation (dough):

Pre-heat the oven to 350F.

Mix the flour, the salt and the butter with a fork.  Then, add the yolks one by one and the water in small portions and continue mixing until all ingredients are one and the dough won’t stick to the hands.


Ingredients (filling):

  • 1/4 Kg. meat
  • 2 onions finely grated
  • 1 chopped hard boiled egg
  • 1 Hot pepper
  • 50 gr. raisins
  • 50 gr. black olives

Preparation (filling):

Prepare a mincemeat with the meat, onions, peppers, raisins and olives. At the end add the chopped egg. Stretch the dough and cut pieces the size of a medallion. For this you can use cookie cutters or use your imagination (Have you tried to cut dough with your imagination before? 🙂


Ingredients (empanaditas):

  • 1 yolk
  • milk (just enough to dilute the yolk)

Preparation (empanaditas):

Place filling in center of the dough medallion and join the ends.
Place the empanaditas on baking tins and paint with yolk diluted in milk.

Put in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
