Ingredients:

  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 can of evaporated milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 4 spoons of sugar

Preparation:

Heat the oven to 350 F.
Dissolve the sugar in a saucepan and pour it into a heat resistant glass container, and let it harden.
Blend all the ingredients for a few minutes. Pour into the glass container with the sugar.

For Leche Asada:

Put the container directly into the oven for 40 to 45 minutes.

For Flan:

Find another heat resistant glass container bigger than the previous one and fill one quarter of it with water.
Put the container with the mixture into the container with water and then put all this in the oven for 40 to 45 minutes.

The Difference:

The Flan and Leche Asada are basically the same recipe but have a radically different texture once finished, the flan is perfectly even and gently creamy, as opposed to the leche asada that is porous and a bit stiffer.
